Iodine

Iodine is a mineral known to be important for health. It's essential to the production of thyroid hormones, and during pregnancy for ensuring the normal development of the baby’s brain. There is evidence that many of us may not be getting enough iodine, particularly in pregnancy and especially if avoiding certain foods (e.g. vegetarians and vegans).

We fortify our oat drinks with iodine. The level of iodine is 22.5µg/100 ml in all oat drinks except the Organic Oat Drink. Oatly oat drinks are therefore rich in calcium, iodine, riboflavin, vitamin B12 and vitamin D.

Our Oatgurt (all variants) are fortified with iodine 22.5µg/100 g - as well as calcium, vitamin B12 and vitamin D.
